This year's competition will include a VEX exhibition. VEX is a nationally recognized robotics competition. Each team participating in the VEX competition can only compete with ONE robot no larger than 24” X 24” X 24”. Multiple teams per school are allowed to compete. For this VEX Robotics Challenge, schools do NOT need to be an officially registered VEX team. Our challenge at Penn State Harrisburg is NOT an official VEX qualifying event, it is more like an exhibition for students to refine their VEX skills. Since we will follow the official VEX rules and build a single robot that conforms to the VEX requirements, teams could reuse parts of their robot for other VEX tournaments around the country. The VEX competition will consist of two challenges: 1) robot skills challenge and 2) a unique autonomous 60-second task announced on the day of the event.

For questions about this pilot competition, please contact Dr. Tyler Love,
